Death and animals

Jason: When we die, do we come back again?
Me: We don't know. We don't know because we are all alive - maybe we come back again as a baby.
Jason (upset): But I don't want to get my penis get cut again, like Aunt Jen's baby did at his bris!
Me: What happens when we die is one of the great mysteries. Maybe we come back as a flower, or a baby, or nothing at all.
Jason (more upset): A flower? That would be a silly life. Someone would come and pick me and then I would die right away. Why would God want me to be a flower? God is not that powerful!

Sydney: Why do lions and tigers roar so loudly? I don't like that. And I don't want to go in caves because there might be bears there.
Me: Animals are loud to protect themselves by scaring the other animals so they won't try to hurt them.
Sydney: Is that why the animals are in cages at the zoo, so nobody hurts them?
